Saturday 7/19/2008 saw an early (3:30am) Start For Marcy, Ron, & Adrene on their 2nd trip to Lake Calcasieu with Captain Tom. After a bumpy boat ride to a beautiful sunrise it was a little work to get the fish to start biting. The tide was slow to none early but we put 5 Trout & 1 Pompano in the cooler at the 1st stop and 5 Nice Trout and Marcy hooked and landed a 25# Drum. at the 3rd stop I hooked an 8# Tripletail and had him 1/2 in the net and lost him)&^%$#@ a few choice words later Ron hooked and landed a 23″ Speck that was also a challange to get in the net, but patiance paid off and he’ll be dinner for 4. To finish a great day we moved inside the jetties and Adrene added some Flounder to the cooler for a great finish to their Big Lake Adventure.

July 18,2008 Was a Great Fishing for Emmett D. and His Son on Lake Calcasieu. It started with a nice 2# Trout on the first cast and at 10:20 we put #45 in the cooler for the best Speck day ever for these guys.

July 14, 2008 James G.,Tony & Lyn opened a new page on Trout Fishing with Captain Tom. Tony brought a pack of Opening Night Bass Assasins and put the hurt on a bunch of 2 lb Trout. James used Gulp and was a close 2nd. Nice Cooler despite strong west winds, dirty water, and a strong outgoing tide.

Phillip Spent most of the day reminding us that his 22″ Trout was big Trout of the day. But there was plenty of great action and nice Trout and Reds to go around. Our first stop brought 22 nice trout to the cooler and then a trip the marsh brought 7 nice reds and several more trout for the box. Tony stayed with live Finger Mullet while Charles worked a gulp under a cork and Phillip stuck with the jig for a Great day on Lake Calcasieu.
