December 13, 2009 Reds, Reds , and more Reds for Captain Tom and Captain Steve!!! A limit today at 8:30 AM!! And we caught and released another 23 before we decided this was too much like shooting fish in a barrel and headed out to throw topwaters for Big Trout. At our first stop a Big Lake Calcasieu Speck took My Super Spook but quickley shook it loose much to my dismay! But I have her address and I will return to try again soon. The winter Redfish bite should stay good untill we get some really cold or rainy weather. Most were caught on Berkley Gulp Pearl Swimming Mullet on a 1/4 oz jig , with a few on V M Minnows white & Chartruse.

December 2, 2009 Christmas comes early to George G. on Big Lake!!! Inspight of 25 Mph winds and white caps we managed a nice limit of trout and a few reds on Berkley Gulp! The cold weather has the fish fired up. The best part is we were the only boat on the lake!!~!!
