May 5,2008, Tony F. and his son Sam and George C. and his son Sam visit Big Lake with Captain Tom. The weather was wet, wet, wet but these senior Fisherman didn’t let it stop them from filling the cooler with nice Trout and Reds. Gulp, Gulp and a Cajun Thunder was what the fish wanted. Sam and Sam won the long distance casting trophy to reach out and touch the schooling Trout. It was a challenging day with a happy (Fishy) ending for all.

April 30,2008 George G of Houston makes his 3rd trip this Spring to find the Redfish on fire. We had a limit of reds at 8:45 and were throwing keepers back. We were using Natural Gulp Shrimp on a 1/4 oz Jig on the south end of the Lake. The wind was 15 to 20 and George brought this Long Ugly Rapala ( More like a Pike Lure) Anyhow on his very first cast he caught a 3# flounder. Oh Well You never Know Untill you Throw(UP) Even ugly baits catch fish!!! I’ll stick with my stinky Gulp. I,m Booked all of May and have several openings in June so call me at 318-675-9114 to get in on some great spring action

Not Rain nor Wind could stop Phillip P. his brother Wayne and their Father from Catching Reds, Trout and Flounder. Wayne had the big Red of the day (5#er) . Phillip had the big trout (4#er) but dad had the most fish. Another great family trip to Lake Calcasieu.
