January 28, 2010 Bill, ( Flew in from Colorado) to join his fishing buddies from Shreveport and wanted to experience Louisiana’s Premier Redfishing and chose Lake Calcasieu as the place to do it. Boy did they do it!!!!! After a little moving to find clean water and a good moving tide it was on. Berkley Gulp Pearl White Swimming Mullet loaded the boat for about 3 hours of steady action cathing 2 to 8 pound Reds.  These guys said the New 24′ Nautic Star made the choppy waters a pleasant ride and a great fishing experience! Today they are headed home to tell stories of the great Redfishing on Lake Calcasieu with Fishing Tom Guide Service and to enjoy some Blackened Redfish Filets. It doesn’t get any better for the Fishing,BillColorado#2-1-28-2010 or for a Big Lake fishing guide. Great Job Guys!!!!!!

CaptTomWading5#8oz1-26-2010Bruce6#4ozWading1-26-2010January 27,2010, Big Trout caught by Wading Lake Calcasieu!!!  It takes patients and work to spend the day wading through the mud & muck but thats exactly where the big trout spend the winter on Big Lake. Capt. Bruce B. and I  put the waders on at 6:30 AM and took them off at 6:00 PM and threw Corkies over the shallow reefs and shorelines of Lake Calcasieu and were rewarded with some nice trout for our effort. If you’d like to try catching a wallhanger? Now untill May is the time to get out the boat and Fish with you feet as well as you hands and you may be rewarded with some Big Lake Beauties!!!!!!!

ChrisWalker1-22-2010

January 21, 2010 Chris Walker & Friends Catch some Big Lake Fun!!!! Chris and his friends started the day with a bang. 2 nice Reds in the first few minutes. Not unusual on Lake Calcasieu, but that was to be the only 2 for the next 3 hours. We moved to spots where I caught a nice limit of 5# reds the day before on corkies and no luck. I finally decided to head north to some deeper water and Bang we had 9 nice reds and a flounder in about 30 minutes. We used Gulp Curley tail Swimming Mullet to finish filling the cooler including a Nice 4#,  25″ Speck on the last cast of the day. A perfect end to an almost perfect day!!!!!

January 3, 2010 Off to The Houston Boat Show, Jan. 8 to 15 at Reliant Center!!!

January 3, 2010 Off to The Houston Boat Show, Jan. 8 to 15 at Reliant Center!!! Booth # 604 is where I’ll be untill the 15th. The weather has made Speckeled Trout fishing for numbers of fish a real challange. Water temps are a between 47* & 52* and there is still some good action for Redfish but we have a big coldfront comming with temps in the 20’s by midweek and will really slow the trout bite even more. A few big fish have been caught on suspending corky or catch 2000 type baits work painstakingly SLOW!      Come visit me at the boat and let’s plan a great Lake Calcassieu trip for 2010.     Happy Newyear!  Captain Tom Adams

P.S.  Santa was really good to me and brought a New Nuatic Star 24′ Tournement. Thanks Santa!!!      318-675-9114NauticStar1-03-2010
