September 9, 2010 James & Mike Finish Day 3 in Redfish Heaven!!!!!

September 9, 2010 James & Mike Finish Day 3 in Redfish Heaven!!!!!   Today Mike started things off with 2 nice Lake Calcasieu Flatties ! (Flounder),  and the Reds were a little slow untill about 9 am I spied a commotion across the bay that looked like boiling water and sure enough it was a nice school of Big Lake Reds between 24 to 26 inches(about 5 pounds each) We spent the next hour wearing out the Reds and our arms on these Big Lake Beauties!!!!Jim& Mike Dich 9-9-2010

September 8,2010 James D. & Mike D. Day 2 of Redfish Slam!!!!!

September 8,2010 James D. & Mike D. Day 2 of Redfish Slam!!!   After yesterday’s nice limit of  Lake Calcasieu’s Bronze Beauties  it was going to be a challange to impove our  success,   But today’s catch was about a pound heavier per fish.  We headed to the south end of Big Lake today to try some different waters  and it paid off nicely with these guys having a ball catching  another Limit of Reds averaging about 4 Pounds!! The Biggest was a 36 inch 17 pound beauty caught by Mike!!!Jim& Mike Dich 9-8-2010

September 7, 2010 James D. & Brother Mike Catch a Big Lake Redfish Limit!!!!

September 7, 2010 James D. & Brother Mike  Catch a Big Lake Redfish Limit!!!!  Live Shad under a cork in shallow water was the pattern that filled the cooler with nice 3 to 12 lb Bronze Beauties. Mike caught the Big Girl right at 30 inches and about 12 lbs. The extra high tides allowed us to fish water that was normally too shallow and made for a fun day on Big Lake!!!James Dich 9-7-2010

August 22, 2010 The Captain & His Wife Are OFF on Vacation Untill September 4th.

As Much fun as it is being a fishing guide , sometimes a break is good! So we will be away untill September 4th.  I will answer emails as best as possible but we will be traveling a lot and may not have internet access. I still have some openings in September & October(Two of the best months to fill the cooler on Lake Calcasieu) and as the weather begins to cool the Speck and Redfish action will heat up!

August 20, 2010 Mike & Debby H. Have a Big Lake Outing with their Fathers Glen and Warren.

August 20, 2010 Mike & Debby H. Have a Big Lake Outing with their Fathers Glen and Warren.  It’s usually the parents that bring the children but on this trip it was Mike & Debby who brought their fathers Glen and Warren to enjoy a day of  Redfish action on Lake Calcasieu. Mike threw mostly spoons and Gulp to catch some nice bronze beauties but live shrimp under a cork enticed most of theseReds to the boat. Mike was on leave from Iraq and it was nice to know that a trip to Big Lake with his family was on top his list of things to do!Mike&Debby8-20-2010
