August 2,2008 Day 2 For Mark J. & sons David & James & Friend Dan. The Reds Got BIGGER, up to 8 lbs and several double hookups. We spent the morning chasing Trout and waiting for the tide to come in, and every few minutes these boys wanted to know – Was It Time Yet for The Reds???? Finally at about 11 Am the tide was moving in strong and we headed to the marsh and it was on!!!! We had a 5# average on 19 Lake Calcasieu Red Fighters. I’m Sure the boy’s are allready asking “When can we come back???”

August 1,2008 Mark J. & sons David and James join Captain Tom for their third fishing trip to Lake Calcasieu and see Red (Fish that is !!!) Also their bass fishing friend Dan joined them and was impressed by how strong Reds are compared to bass. With good high tides the Reds have started to move into the marsh and live shrimp was the ticket . Mark stayed with New Penny Gulp and landed several on artificial.

Joey S. of Houston invited several of his business associates and their families for a great day of Fishing on Big Lake. Judy started the day with a 2# Redfish on the very first cast, on a live shrimp. It was all Judy most of the day she gave the guys a lesson on catching Trout, Redfish & Flounder. Joey went for quality instead of numbers and finished with a nice 25.5″ (5.5lb) Trout. The fish were fairly active and the last cast of the day hooked a flounder that shook the hook on the way in and gave us something to look forward too next trip.
