November 2, 2009 Johnny W. on his second trip this year with Captain Tom brought his friend Dickey F. to help him fill the cooler. Johnny likes the challenge of throwing only artificial baits. We started off with Topwaters and the birds soon had us throwing Gulp under a cork. We then went to throwing white 3″ Gulp shrimp on a 1/4 oz jig and put some nice Flounder in the boat. Finally we found some nice Reds on the south end near the weirs and filled the cooler with a limit of 3 to 5 # Reds. Get the Barbi Ready!!!!

October 27, 2009 Windy, Rainy but still Fishy!!!! Joann and Captain Tom went scouting today and had a nice limit of Big Lake Trout at 10AM. Berkley 4″ Swimmin g Mullet in Pearl White under a cork filled the cooler with 30 Specks. The we headed to the marsh for Reds. The tides have been incredibly high and I was able to get my 24′ Triton into areas that usually are too shallow and we put 7 nice reds in the cooler on live shrimp. November should be a great month for good numbers of trout !

October 26, 2009 Charles D. Wife Carolyn and Aunt Nat. Beat The Elements!!! Not Wind or Rain or dark Clouds could keep this crew from facing 25 MPH winds and putting some Nice Reds and Sheephead in the cooler. Aunt Nat. is 82 years young and an inspiration to senior fisherman! She baited her own hook and reeled em in like a Pro! Storms finally chased us in at 11:00 AM but these guys hope to be back next month for round two!!!

October 25, 2009 Was Stanley”s 4th trip with Captain Tom and he invited his daughter Caroline  from Houston and friend Jim from New Orleans to spend a fun relaxing day exploring Big Lake and catching some nice Big Lake beauties. Live shrimp and Berkley Gulp were the bait of choice and we mainley stayed in the marsh, the birds were pretty crowded with boats on the weekend so we blazed our own trail through a more peacefull area of the lake and put some nice Trout , Reds, Flounder and Black Drum in the cooler.
