Friday Oct. 3, 2008 It was a 50th Birthday to remember. We only had a few fish in the cooler and the wind was low when we moved out to some near rigs. We started Hauling in 5# reds (Not allowed to keep them in federal waters over 3 miles out) and a few more trout we saw some mullet schooled up on the side of the rig. Rodney cast a Natural Gulp into the mullet a Bang the Fish was on! It was a 45 minute battle on 14# test Fireline. Ihad the fish 1/2 in the net twice and finally the third time was the charm and the 40″ 27 lb Cobia was ours! It was a Great Birthday present for a great crew!

Thursday October 2, 2008. This was Walley C of Houston’s second trip this season. We started with a bang. Reds & Trout were popping the surface and these guys had me hopping on the net. After the first hour frenzy slowed we moved and picked up 3 nice flounder and chased some birds to finish off a nice cooler and a great day on Lake Calcasieu.

Saturday September 27, 2008 Joann brought the grandkids Down to get in on big Lake Fun. They about wore me out on the net. We had our limit of 20 Reds at 8:30am and a dozen nice Trout and one Flounder and we could barely close the lid on the cooler. Shawn caught the most on Gulp Shrimp and Tommy used market shrimp to catch the bigger Reds.

Today Tarnley T, Cheryl B. & Grandson Alex joined Captain Tom for what they said was the best day of redfishing ever. The day started with Doubles & Triple Hookups. I could barely keep up with the net. Dead shimp on the bottom was all it took to have a limit of 3# reds . About 11:30 they said their arms were so tired we called it a day. I don’t Know how much longer this post Ike bite will continue but it is truely Amazinggggggggg!!!!!!!!  Captain Tom
