On May 19, 2008 senior member John, Big Fish catcher son Craig, and Grandson Nicholas had a great family holiday catching Big Lake Trout ,Reds and Flounder. The fish were hungry for the live shrimp we were offering ,but Craig landed a nice 5# Red & 3# Trout on a Jig and Plastic on the bottom and John caught a slam with his nice 2# flounder. Nicholas did a great job helping Captain Tom with
on the net work and saved a nice Red tangled in the trolling motor. Great job Nicholas!

Ken S. and his better half and Brother visited Lake Calcasieu on May 9th ,2008 and started with a bang ( A double of 2 nice Reds on almost the first cast) and a short time latter Ken put a 4# trout in the boat. Not to be outdone his wife Jeanna put a 5#3oz Monster in the boat alng with a 4# and a couple of 3’s. Well Ken had the last word with a 6# 7oz Trout that bit his Gulp about 10 ft. from the boat and nearly pulled the rod out of his hand. His Brother Bob helped with a slam of a 4# trout, a 3# red, and a nice Flounder. We finished the day with 18 of the nicest fish I’ve seen in some time. These guys boated every fish and did an incredible job .

May 6 2008 Johnny L. and his longtime (Very Long) ,friends and fishing buddies.Prove that age is no barrier to having a great day of fun on Lake Calcasieu with Captain Tom. I had a hard time keeping up with these guys on the net and keeping them rigged with fresh Gulp that the trout under the birds were eating up. Great job .

April 30,2008 George G of Houston makes his 3rd trip this Spring to find the Redfish on fire. We had a limit of reds at 8:45 and were throwing keepers back. We were using Natural Gulp Shrimp on a 1/4 oz Jig on the south end of the Lake. The wind was 15 to 20 and George brought this Long Ugly Rapala ( More like a Pike Lure) Anyhow on his very first cast he caught a 3# flounder. Oh Well You never Know Untill you Throw(UP) Even ugly baits catch fish!!! I’ll stick with my stinky Gulp. I,m Booked all of May and have several openings in June so call me at 318-675-9114 to get in on some great spring action
