Dan & Robert joined me Wednesday and it started a little slow. A strong Cold front dropped the water temp about 10 degrees and the wind muddied the Lake pretty good but after a few stops we found a Bayou full of bait and hungry Reds. By Lunch we had nice limits of 3 to 8# reds on shrimp (dead or alive). The Trout will start biting again as soon as the wind calms and the water clears. Great Job Guys!!

Aunt Connie brought her nephews down from Alexandria for a great day of Big Lake action. We started on the North End with live shrimp and in no time the boys had 15 nice trout in the cooler. Then we headed south to the Jetties to see the Dolphins, and they were everywhere. The water Looked so good we decided to try for some big reds and the very first cast Aunt Connie hooked a 16# Red that gave her a 20 minute battle. Then a few minutes Later Keelyn hooked a 12# red and finally Miguel put a 5#Â Black Drum in the Boat. We then headed to the south end of the lake and chased the birds with DOA’s under a cork and put 14 more Trout in the boat to have the perfect end to a perfect Day. Everybody needs a Great Aunt Connie to Take them Fishing!!!!!! Call me even if You don’t have an Aunt Connie we can Still have a great day fishing on Lake Calcasieu. 318-675-9114

Despite the Full Moon, And strong winds these guys from Shreveport managed a nice mixed bag of Trout, Reds, Big Flounder and Sheephead. Live shrimp and DOA’s under a Cajun Thunder Cork did the trick. The North End of Lake Calcasieu was Pretty Clear but with these North East Winds the south end was chocolate milk. I still have a few open dates the next few weeks so call 318-675-9114 to get in on some great fall rodbending action

Ronnie C. and wife Kathy and their son and his girlfriend made the 4 hour drive from Tyler Tx. to enjoy some Big Lake action. The wind tried it’s best to blow us off the lake Sunday , But by working the east bank and working the marsh they kept me busy on the net and managed a grand slam of Trout, Reds, and Flounder.
