February 20, 2010 Lake Calcasieu Starting to Thaw!!! Today was a beautiful day to be on Big Lake. The weather was a little breezy but spring like, and the fish are getting hungry. Gulp Swimming Mullet under a cork in shallow water was the key to a nice cooler of Reds and a nice 2# Trout caught by Steve B. ,A Lake Calcasue Guide who joined me today for some spring scouting. As the weather improves so should the Speckeled Trout and Red Fishing. I have several openings after March 8th.
