A great end to a father & son getaway!!!!

January 21, 2010 Chris Walker & Friends Catch some Big Lake Fun!!!! Chris and his friends started the day with a bang. 2 nice Reds in the first few minutes. Not unusual on Lake Calcasieu, but that was to be the only 2 for the next 3 hours. We moved to spots where I caught a nice limit of 5# reds the day before on corkies and no luck. I finally decided to head north to some deeper water and Bang we had 9 nice reds and a flounder in about 30 minutes. We used Gulp Curley tail Swimming Mullet to finish filling the cooler including a Nice 4#, 25″ Speck on the last cast of the day. A perfect end to an almost perfect day!!!!!

January 3, 2010 Off to The Houston Boat Show, Jan. 8 to 15 at Reliant Center!!! Booth # 604 is where I’ll be untill the 15th. The weather has made Speckeled Trout fishing for numbers of fish a real challange. Water temps are a between 47* & 52* and there is still some good action for Redfish but we have a big coldfront comming with temps in the 20’s by midweek and will really slow the trout bite even more. A few big fish have been caught on suspending corky or catch 2000 type baits work painstakingly SLOW!     Come visit me at the boat and let’s plan a great Lake Calcassieu trip for 2010.    Happy Newyear! Captain Tom Adams Â
P.S. Santa was really good to me and brought a New Nuatic Star 24′ Tournement. Thanks Santa!!!     318-675-9114

December 21, 2009 Neighbor Tim & Wife Joann & Captain Tom Catch Red Fever on Lake Calcasieu!!! Tim had never caught a redfish before and after a few bronze beauties he was so fired up he wanted to stay all day! Before long he was casting and catching 2 to 5 pound reds on his own with pearl gulp swimming mullet on a 1/4 oz jig. I thought he might wear out after he caught 20 but I asked him when he was ready to leave? He replied NEVER. What a joy to be young!!!!

December 20, 2009 Ed S. & Eddie Catch a Lake Calcasieu Red Limit & More!!! It was a bit windy and a bit chilley(38*) but the Big Lake bronze beauties were still hungry. We had a limit in about an hour on Pearl White Gulp Swimming Mullet and then caught and released another 15 in the 2 to 5 pound range before trying for Big winter trout with Corkies. The trout have been very slow to bite with lots of stained fresh water and Lake Calcasieu water temps between 48 and 52. And after a few hours of trying we headed to the house with memories of a great Big Lake RedFish outing!!!
